Mitt Romney began acting the role of Priest according to the Order of Melchizedek at age 18, assuming the attitude of Elder toward younger brothers in the religion's Aaronic priesthood. Semitism, the NSDAP, Irgun and Israel. All these Signs swirling in TokenSpace today.
As also: *Netanyahu's government brings home symbolic Son of Israel, Gilad Shalit. Widely acclaimed (in big prisoner swap); even behind the social unrest, public clamor wanting to get Shalit back -- the NYTimes said so -- restoring the feeling of solidarity again).
And also: The U.S. intel services have framed* Iran with ordering assassination of a Saudi ambassador on U.S. soil. The unconscious not only prompts suspicion of the alleged plot foiled by an inside asset, as if it were staged for it's group-process effect. Pursued further, this pre-conscious suspicion leads to the deep Unconscious thought that Iran had to be punished for what Israel and the U.S. are guilty-- state-ordered assassinations on foreign soil.
Israel did it in Dohar; the U.S. in Pakistan. "Dumping" blame for punishable acts of self onto (or into) an Other, Evil enemy externalizes the "sin". "It's them, not me/us!" The "moralized sadistic" compulsion toward violent punishment of The Enemy is, at bottom, masochistic violence unconsciously felt by the punisher toward THEMSELVES. Splitting-off (with or without denial) and projectively externalizing the content creates a poison container. This highly constructed psychodynamic concept (by psychohistorian Caspar Schmidt) is an Archetype of a new, more highly integrated symbolic order. It's most abominable 'materialization' is Nazi ZyklonB barrels of gas to kill Jews* (in holocaust accounts). But as a mechanism, Jesus became a poison container to same said Jews* of ancient times, for which cause he was crucified and his blood spilled on the ground. The deepest root of the unconscious fantasy is "sin poisons the blood". To call the sense of sin "original" ("original sin") evokes fetal origins of experience, in which blood of later term pregnancy is not cleansed of waste and re-oxygenated by the then-aging placenta. The feeling of such states of discomfort, in increasingly cramped, squeezing, over-heated, straining efforts toward Birth Release, and Victory! -- are revived later, with Compulsion to Repeat the violent act of killing the poisonous placenta, gaining first breath, and freedom of movement. When such states of regression to birth trauma are sustained as a chronic condition, the Group, using "we" delegates who would purge it of sin, and its blood of poison, sacrifice rituals, substituting "evil", or "possessed" children as poison containers. That is why youth are sacrificed in war. Their very willingness to shed their blood Renews the Nation-Group Social Contract, and purges the feeling of sinful, blood poisoned. Wars are staged in order for a group to purge their own unconscious sense of guilt by dumping it and punishing it in the other.
And that is what a Priest, by definition, is appointed to do.
Which leads back to Romney oath as Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.
Unless sacred religious oaths are openly denounced they may be prima facie presumed to bind forever. This means whoever would accept Mitt Romney as Leader-President is willing to accept the place as Melchizedek in a re-Christian worldview. "Good lads" coming along among the maturing male belong to the Aaronic priesthood; the very good ones, and there are many, aspiring to ascend in rank. Romney had ascended to the rank of "stake president," analogous to Catholic Bishop's parishes. Vignettes of his personal touch, as Elder, helping those struggling, are given by the NYTimes 10.16.
Romney; the Ancient Old Testament Priesthood -- no doubt once a living cultus situated at present day Jerusalem; Israel; and the U.S. Presidency on the line. That a Sentence hanging in the atmosphere of TokenSpace waiting to complete.
One way is this scenario: expectations-and-PR-campaigns on the theme of a Latter Day Messiah returning to the Holy Land, a 2nd Jesus, also identified in the Book of Hebrews as High Priest according to the Order of Melchizedek.
There is one major problem with that play-out of America's psychohistorical narrative. Jesus' blood, as sacrifice for all, sealed The New Covenant once-for-all, as Spirit Christ. The Idea of a Latter Day Messiah restoring Zion in Israel is not according to Christ Spirit, but to false Blood Jesus mythology. It is anathema to American soul talk.
They've got that covered! The Mormon attitude toward source of authority on earth deriving from God* (*pre-emptively, and wrongly defined) goes over to belief that the US Constitution was Divinely inspired, forever inscribing title to their Utah holdings under its laws. If Romney's right to rule were challenged because of his unrenounced loyalty oath to Zion, his camp's political response might well be to bring it forward. Take the initiative advocating recognition of it in Israel's official title.
Problem #2. Harry Truman struck the word "Zion" out of the U.S document recognizing the state of Israel, By his own hand, with a pen stroke. Thus, any move to "seize the day" in that direction is legally blocked, if only a politician, pundit, editor or truth provacateur dared point it out. But that would violate the taboo of not assailing anything pro-Israel.
Three taboos are ironclad in the MSM:
1. bad mouthing homosexuality -> homophobia* <-instinctive reaction, not allowed expression, potentiates repression and reaction-formation

3. Advocacy of abortion per se --coddling 'baby-killer' psychopaths who redefine "person" as originating at conception.
All three are connected to Father-Son relations through Freud's psychoanalysis of the Oedipus Complex; that is to say, all three fall under the two sides of the incest taboo: don't desire mom, don't kill dad.
3. this taboo allows male perogative to be restored over female choice in reproduction (insemination itself is declared to be under, by the power of, consecrated by (the One) Father Spirit). Labelling occupants of the womb "The Unborn", declaring "life begins at conception", redefining at fetus as "person", thus authorizing state action to 'protect unborn citizens' -- and sacrificing the right of female control over her own body.
2. this taboo allows the tradition of hereditary Blood-Jesus worship to surplant Christ Spirit worship in the drama of collective re-birth.
That is the Spiritual Dimension of Messianic Zionism. Blood, soaked in, and rising in new generations through sacred soil, was the same for Hitler's Germany as it is for Netanyahu's Israel. In fact, one exists due to the other; Zionism is the Religious Homeland ideology of Israel, officially recognized or not. That is the existential-religious strain of Romney's blood hereditary priesthood.
