What is being seen and experienced in the A. Weiner affair is phenomenal sex-power depravity, rivalled in scale of assault on human sensitivity only by penis worship in old Rome, where images of the master's cock could be seen carved over ornate doors. In the psychohistorical context of today's America, it's not just corporate culture-ism feeding off penis shock heheh, it's the deconstruction of what Freud identified as 'penis envy', deepest unconscious sexual fantasy of the female psyche, developmentally following birth trauma. This is slyly addressed by Stewart's interview with "Christian Shaw", who pertly reports it isn't the visual imagery that turns 'em on (she would know; looks Jewish herself). Something else -- though some may 'got it', she coyly intimates. "We don't need to see your thing," she sweetly says. Women's bodies are inherently beautiful; men's appear pre-mammalian.

Psychodynamically, this is an event deconstructing the female-homosexual side of human personality. I claim this could be verified by the number of women vs. men who looked up the picture; 10 to 1 the women would carry the day. Of males who did, the relevant breakdown is ratio of homosexuals to non-homosexuals. Simple curiosity, hardly prurience, would prompt many to want to see what the fuss was about and everybody was looking at. It doesn't entail unconscious wish fulfilment to motivate. To feel compulsion NOT to look at it, maybe revulsion if done so anyway, is a form of 'gaynxiety'. Of course Jon's interviewee, "Christian", won't-can't (even if she thought it) confess to penis envy, although featuring the Jewish-looking girl's 'take' is what it's all about, which is why the Dailey show set it up as they did. Homosexuals certainly understand the visual thing, why Mr. Weiner's 'look at me!' compulsion took the form that it did. It is visual imagery that most inflames their imagination, according to some. Like "penis envy" is nothing strange; its what they've got. This narcissm matches that of Beautiful Body females, and would have been internalized by mothers' loving touch and care, split off and sublimated in normal development. Weiner and his weiner -- how perfect is that for Double text token; squared by his Brooklyn Jewish political identity. Staged by/in/for the Collective Unconscious to fulfill the desire of these overlapping psychic sectors today, dominated by Killer Motherland America. Real maleness is shoved aside, like holy matrimony by same-sexers.
