The unconscious psychohistorical aim
is eradication of all guilt-revulsion toward sex and sexuality in general. The deepest two layers of the unconscious background are: 1. birth (<-trauma, rebirth, treated elsewhere). 2. Oedipal stage of personality development, distributing pre-sexual love-cathexis toward/between parents; resulting in choices* later sealed by repression of the opposite, in communicating with others. The local Gannett newspaper, Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin, has had a letter to the editor calling for 911 to be made into a national holiday; followed by news that a memorial for those killed in the terrible event was under construction downtown.

However, to memorialize deaths caused by lies, when evidence of that fact is indisputable, is to glorify the suffering itself.

Moreover, the thought that this could be done deliberately (consciously), for that reason, undermines every other memorial shrine, on suspicion it came into existence the same way -- to replace criminality by glorified civic ceremony. It particularly undermines, and reverses, honor of Christianity as a religion, whenever its majesterium backs lying authority used to silence truth.

SAME SEX MARRIAGE AS SOCIAL ISSUE

1. The chief social issue raised by re-defining "mariage" to include same-sex unions
is not religious, though religious condemnation of homosexuality is explicitly taught in the Bible (cf. Romans 1.27), and gives those who follow it sufficient grounds for outcry (cf. Yehuda Levin)

Specifically, from the developmental p/o/v of sexual object-cathexis toward same, or other, genders. From this p/o/v, the outcomes of hetero- v. homo- sexual as a fixed personality/behavioral type are understood bio-psychologically, as the routing of charge-discharge neural connections in the body adapts to changing inner and outer conditions, within given hereditary limits (which some claim include determinants of the homosexual outcome -- 'born that way'). In any case, it is this outcome that is recognized as requiring explanation. Male bonds with female; in humans, Man Meets Woman -- whether its Rex and Regina,Tarzan and Jane, or just Moli and Obi -- that no more calls for explanation than blueness of sky (though there is one). It is the way it is, with life. What calls for explanation are the deviations (hermopodites, etc.).

Deviations can be classified as points in psychic functioning at which progress toward completion of the normal human reproductive cycle is deflected to an alternative line of development. Homosexuality is a deviation in psychosexual development explainable in various detail trough ''vicissitudes of instinct." What is predicated on in legal and social policy discourse as "sex", or "sexual relations", refers in actual fact to some personal biography of instinctual history. It is the history of marriage as a religious sacrament, given that Archetypes in religious language Square and Sublimate sexual instinct.

CONVICTION:

instinctual incompatibility* of the two forms of sexual union. Sexual love between those of same vs. opposite genders follow different development routes: from early childhood innocence, when all was symbolic and "once upon a time', through pre-adolecent fantasies, to post hormonal mentality (rounding off roughly from Freud). The split between genders of object-cathexis is seated in the personality in inter-parental/sibling relationships (assuming no serious abuse trauma occirs) worked through at this time

(*this can range from felt psychic revulsion to subtle resistances; pictures of men kissing will do it for many. Common in-group understanding of themselves, and each other, places great importance in the role of vulgar sex images in shaping inner object-cathexis.)

Argument so far: 1. As a sign-use, "same-sex marriage" is intellectually incoherent. What it purports to communicate cannot exist. (cf. mixed rules of the language game: "The bishop's deuce ? ") 2. The deviation from coherence awakens para-rational religious condemnation as having been silenced. 3. The para-rational religious condemnation expresses instinctual revulsion in spiritual (Archetypal) terms.

1. + 2. + 3. => Use of "Equality" for same-sex v. male-female re "marriage" places the developmental outcome of impulses toward deviancy, if encouraged and persisted in,
alongside and equal to the product of those walking nature's path. That cannot be consciously done.

WHY IS it done unconsciously? (motive: =>) It provides a mechanism by means of which "religious liberals" can forgive their own unconscious sex-guilt by 'forgiving' homosexuals theirs. They have allowed their religious development to be seduced by sexuality, giving up any existential grounds of making value judgments. As a position of consciousness, this subverts all appeals to square metaphysics with reason. By constructing an alternative psychohistorical narrative in which NY MARRIAGE EQUALITY ACT is predicated on, this group of "religious liberals" calls for acceptance of their sex guilt by the rest. Their intellectuals have defined themselves in opposition to the way social norms and nature have defined marriage, and in a way that requires the containing community to align (accept or reject). They have the right to believe it, but not for one minute assume anyone else can or ought to accept it as true. That is an irrational demand, proceeding from irrational motive, by irrational equalizer*mentality.
