STRAIGHT HATE
DORSettling the Onus Argument

Christine Quinn, the speaker of the New York City Council, is one of the state’s most powerful politicians and the nation’s most prominent openly gay officials. On Charlie Rose’s program earlier this week, she spoke of the legalization of same-sex marriage in personal terms. (Ms. Quinn plans to marry Kim Catullo in New York in 2012.)
“The vote: “That stigma of being left out of this enormous important institution was gone. And it was just amazing. You felt really really kind of lifted up in a way and freed in a way.”
The pain of exclusion: Before, “the law actually pointed a finger at people like me and Kim and said you’re less than. Your family isn’t as good. You can say that doesn’t bother you, but, of course, it does.”
Their fathers: “Kim and I both lost our moms when we were both girls. My mom died of cancer, and Kim’s died of cancer. Mine died in ’84 and Kim’s in ’85. I want those two men to be able to go and dance and be at their daughters’ wedding. They’re 84 and 85 and, God willing, they will be with me for a long time.”
The broader message: “Think of a child somewhere in New York State, or anywhere in the country who is in their room watching TV. They see this happen. They know they’re gay. They think they’re gay. They can’t tell their parents. They’re terrified. They may not know another gay person. And they see New York State, New York just say that gay families are the same as straight families. That’s something that child will hold on to when they’re bullied, hold on to when their parents don’t accept them.”
CRITIQUE
Christine Quinn's position is pampered quasi-paranoid narcissistic
anti-straight bigotry. She suffers from the delusion that prior to 6.24, she stood aggreived under the old law: " “the law actually pointed a finger at people like me and Kim and said you’re less than. Your family isn’t as good. You can say that doesn’t bother you, but, of course, it does.”
But that is NY minute pop cult flapdoodle.
Everyone, I suppose, has an anti-authoritarian gene that projects aggression onto dutiful law enforcement officials, often unwarranted. That's the infantile pre-Oedipal group-fantasy thread Quinn is tugging on here. "The law" didn't actually point a finger at people like her and Kim and call them "less than." They regarded themselves as "less than", and projected the anti-cathectic feeling they entertained, thereunto, onto "the law" as a punitive (Repressive Father entity) behind the oppression. When they act it out politically, it becomes passive-aggessive psychosis, possibly the most dangerous state-condition the psyche degenerates to, expecting all to "see and understand".
Here's Quinn after the vote: “That stigma of being left out of this enormous important institution was gone. And it was just amazing. You felt really really kind of lifted up in a way and freed in a way.” Never mind that this 'enormous important institution' got that way by a route which her arrogance obliges her to condemn as exclusory. "The pain of exclusion"? As if the roots of collective humanity's most sacred experience were to be seen from the side of unions it "excluded." And who would have thought that not just this pair, but multitudes of pairs of women living together were getting mistreated! WHY DIDN'T ANY ONE SAY ANYTHING? Why did it take some gutsy rich Republican "gay" cohorts to knife the party apparatus in the back to free the suffering womenfolk? Oh the guilt she and Kim must feel for not doing more. And as for homophobic leaning fence sitters? Shame, shame on them for not doing as much.

STRAIGHT HATE (incurred by deviance projected as normal)
Not to hate evil is a metaphysical insult to love.
This leaves open the question whether "gay marriage" is evil.
What did the snake in Garden of Eden tell Eve? Was Aleister Crowly the Beast practicing sex magick?
I who once said "I Do" now dare do it again. Not just for myself, family, religious tradition*

But for :
-Me (again)-- for taking away friends
-as American -- for taking away peace between married couples and homosexuals. This peace* is American children's birthright through its liberal Motherhood, as a transcendental Archetype of early developmental years. It* sets the existential tonality of color of her childhood history. Now it has racheted the "equal access for everybody" argument up past its turning point. It's leading liberal idea, that each should have access to all forms of happiness, is taken to psychosexual extremes, whereupon it reverses direction of development by claiming "equality" of the differentiated with the undifferentiated. That is experienced as hate by homophiles, because it surrounds and 'pressures' them; keeps them 'in the closet'. The whole hate thing, apart from actual visceral revulsion many have more or less of at different times, stems at bottom from the instinctive reaction this passive-aggressive position provokes.
-as global citizen: surplanting America/Earth Mother birthright => DOR clouds over Fukushima, fallout in Philadelphia. Deadly Orgone Radiation forms when the energy binding particles in the nuclei of atoms is released, and binds with the subtle cosmic energy W. Reich called 'orgone', a conceptual extension of Freud's sex-instinct (libido) theory. DOR clouds attack the essence-energy of life itself, having the effect of shrinking chloroform-seeking tendrils and 'sprouts' of life on earth. Delicate things, requiring special balanced rhythms to grow and reproduce, shrivel and die off as species. But withdrawal of love in the human species begins, or is intimately associated with, 'repression' of the sexual instinct, blocking the flow of libido to its hard-wired satisfactory completion. These psychic ends of desire-fulfillment get looped and tied together, after birth and childhood, in the Oedipal and following stages, in which The Mother is the object-cathexis replacing the Nurturant Placenta. "She", as a position of consciousness, emotionally contains 'the family' as those She loves. Overrlaying continuation of womb-placental origins of "Fetal Happiness", this position morphs into: "Sanctuary", "Church", "school," "state", "nation", "world", as out-ward spiralling mother-love containers (in a completed life trajectory).
In Freudian terms -- taken from his work but not attributing these exact views to the psychoanalyst himself -- hate is instinctual revulsion to substitution of one love- object for another, originally loved, one. The child's first loved object is its mother, or whatever substitutes as nurturing caretaker. It is now known that the
mothers' role psychologically overlays and continues that of the placental function, with good-bad moods alternating the way the fetus was alternately nurtured and "punished" or "pressured" in the womb. After conception, human development unfolds through the stages of embryo, fetus, birth, infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, neuro-psychically. This explains why tinkering with the intricate, intimate, implacable network of terms
Note: 1. much more could be said in refutation of the "non-inclusion is exclusion' argument. It clearly can't be sustained. For example, sports teams don't exclude those who lack qualifications, skills, or ability to play on the First Team in competition with others, and it would be irrational for those not included to feel "excluded."
2. I have elsewhere deconstructed the instinctive revulsion response called "hate", used in context of early Freudianism, this way: the aggressive vehemence implied by its use derives from attempt to "fill the hole", or "remedy the loss" left in the psyche of those whose Mother (<=first libidinal Object Casthexis) has been taken away, defiled (as our soul), substituted for, reversed from loving-to-hating ("Big Government!" "I want my country back!" ) It is violent withdrawal from the pain of MotherTorture, screaming with contorted face into the mirror of Her reflection.
3. The words "same sex marriage" (sometime written with the hyphen "same-sex marriage") deconstructs directly, for males, to "ceremonially sanctioned anal intercourse." Apart from oral-penis contact, that is the explicit subtext of consummation of "same sex marriage." It is not a pretty sight, for many, I'm pretty sure I'm not speaking only for myself in saying it's not a pretty sight. Less than that: for, that part of Mother retained as Holy, from which each one born of woman on earth emerged, and to which penetration returns in sexual copulation, has been substituted for by the Other -- the anus. The devlopmental process that turns love into hate pivots on this ambiguity. (cf judge Shreiber's hallucinogenic transform into helpless subject of All Powerful Father God importuning him in the night with "voluptuousities", to rebirth a new, superior breed of men.) t
