THE THEORY OF EVIL
I.
--When one of the initial members of the fibonacci series gets turned into its opposite: 1 - 1 is replaced by ~1 - 1 as a starting point. In applied terms, this could be a DNA-RNA mix-up, affecting some psychic mis-match. Once a token gets "flipped over on its other side", reversing the polarity of conscious positions through the text, the negation present in the beginning ("original sin") may be passed up the line of predicates, accumulating potential for genetic (or convulsive) mutation, if a tipping point is reached.

A contradictory starting point would begin an involuting, downward spiral, even as the series progressed from ( ) -2-3-5-8-13. This would be the sequence of psychic energy sufficiently formed to bring dream/fantasy conent (with trauma) under organized qualitative content of an embodied self. (The third fibonnaci number, 2, corresponds to the third token type of S*.) "Darkness", when it is not a traumatic obliteration of consciousness, is a content brought in through dreams (and other hypnogogic altered states), and may be accented or diminished, sustained or put aside in development, in relating to others at higher S* levels. This darkness may 'spread from below upward', a process biblical group-fantasy squares under the image of Snakebrain relating to Eve.

II. From Vietnam to Stephen Saland (NY State Senator, R. Poughkeepsie)
-the karmic narrative of his switch (from opposing to voting for New York Marriage Equality Act).

--For the irony impaired: this most smashing VICTORY! of left-liberal political maneuvering is culminated by one of the Republican's own party members, a Conservative Jew (self-described) previously opposed to same-sex marriage on religious grounds. The opposition to NYMEA within the system was in the Republican Conference, led by Sen. Tom Libous, R.-Binghamton. The pro-"gay" forces are hailed by many as continuing the spirit of the 60's protest movement. However, the inner contradiction of "same-sex marriage", if spelled out (~S/S*)^, actually deconstructs The Dark side of The Unconscious latent in the 60's. It is that "one step too far", the pushing through of which reverses psychic valency from positive (expanding toward completion) to negative (involuting to nothing). This shows how "the Left" converts into "the Right" through (~S/S*)^ (the contradiction/reversal). Oppositely, "the Right", or Republicanism, whose authoritarian militarism originally contained The Dark, if the process is traced from that side, converts into the superior moral position vis a vis "The Left". These are two sides of a psychesemiotic vortex, one involuting (turning on itself), the other evoluting (expanding indefinitely). I imagine them as pivoting around a center intersecting inverted cone shaped barber pole stripes, one spiraling in, the other spiraling out. However, it is not necessary to reach this level of diagramatic complexity to trace the effects of grammatizing the contradiction. One gets "Adam and Steve" turning up as bon mot for Genesis. As predication on an irrational construct expands through TokenSpace, it breeds others. That is the Theory of Evil, connecting it with snakebrain function.

Summary: In opposing "same-sex marriage", Libous and the Republicans are taking the place of 60's protestors of the Vietnam war, standing up against imposed irrationality.

THE BIG REVERSAL In proclaiming "same-sex marriage" a victory over Right Wing authoritarian militarism, the Left-Liberal clacque has gone over to the authoritarian militarist side of Vietnam war days.

Nothing could show this more clearly than The Nation magazine's "Coming Out For Change", by Richard Kim 7.18.'11 p. 6f.
"If Americans go past the shame and isolation... they might well tell their stories with the same moral clarity as the gay movement (sic), and ...might ask the people around them, President Obama, the Democrats, the Republicans, the entire damn system the same question: Are you with us, or against us?"

Against. Partly, and sufficiently for rational justifdication, for the act of framing this exclusionaly situation, after making a virtue of predicating of a contradiction. For that is what "same-sex marriage" is, as a sign-use (meme, text-token construct) now pervading collective TokenSpace. Marriage, tautologically connoting connubial union, conjoins, for males, with anal intercourse as subtext. The imagery is unmistakably communicated. That's how they do it. If "husband-wife", related in marriage by connubial union, is replaced by "husband-husband", the image of penis-vaginal penetration is replaced by that of penis-anal penetration, as modes of sexual intercourse. This replacement was not sought for, nor welcomed by, those for whom marriage already had the meaning which the other mode of sexual relations did not qualify. The imposed mental imagery is irrational; the fact that it is of sexual deviance comes in next as a separate being-insult.

For that is what it is. The language of Romans 1.27 is perhaps as explicit in expressing religious repulsion as any text could be. "...Men with men committing what is shameful ...". It would be perverse not to take this as referring to sodomy. Thus, what Kim calls "the moral clarity of the gay movement" is actually religious desecration.

Morever, the partucular way this abominable New York Marriage Equality Act came about illustrates the same reversal. It turns out that one of the last key hold-outs was a Conservative Republican Jew from Poughkeepsie, Stephen Saland by name, whose flip-flop vote when the chips were down made sure "gay"-ness prevailed. Throwing his religious identity (Agadath Israel and Orthodox Union Jews opposed it) under the rainbow bus.

It was not necessary that the psychic polarity degenerate to the point of irresoluable dynamic opposition, but The Left absolutized it. For the irony-impaired: juxtaposition of Cuomo-Saland homosexual Victory! in New York...with claims some make of it as continuing anti-Vietname war 60's Freedom movement ... describes a Dark Hole at the centre of an involuting spiral in TokenSpace.
